I graduated from the University of the West of England in 2012 with an honour’s degree in radiotherapy. During my undergraduate training I was able to work in a number of cancer centres across England and as an elective in Tanzania. I started my PhD in late 2012 at Cardiff University looking at the experiences of radiotherapy patients after their cancer treatment ends. I completed my PhD in 2018.
In 2012 I began working clinically as a band 5 radiographer in Cheltenham Oncology Centre, progressing to band 6 and team lead radiographer and imaging practitioner. In 2018 I moved to a band 7 post at Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff.
Since starting at ¹ú²úÂÒÂ× in 2020, I have focused on developing my teaching skills and supporting the research skills of our students. I am also the clinical placement coordinator for the radiotherapy programme. I particularly enjoy teaching qualitative research methods, ethics, and supervising final year dissertation students and postgraduate students (both at masters and doctoral level).
