Thomas joined ¹ú²úÂÒÂ× in 2023 and is Head of Queen Margaret Business School and Senior Lecturer in Management with a focus on International Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

Thomas was previously Director of Glasgow Caledonian University’s British School of Leadership and Management in London. Prior to joining academia, Thomas worked in a range of different roles internationally in small and medium sized organisations in the private and third sector across a range of service industry contexts from educational travel to fashion e-commerce.
His main responsibilities included coordinating and restructuring processes and information flows to meet customer needs in different international markets. Thomas is a Senior Fellow with AdvanceHE (formerly Higher Education Academy) with a passion for cross culturally inclusive learning.
He has worked on institutionally seed-funded QAA Scotland Enhancement Theme projects with focus on international student transitions and group work within UK Higher Education but contributed to a number of Erasmus+ funded capacity building projects; specifically on international inclusive programme design (), development of intercultural competence in higher education staff in Latin America () and enhancing blended learning and curriculum design as part of FinTech master programmes in Southeast Asia ().

Thomas' primary teaching areas include international marketing, entrepreneurship and information management at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has a keen interest in embedding sustainability, corporate citizenship and associated concepts in his teaching. His approach to learning, teaching and assessment is characterised by a commitment to digitally enhanced and inclusive learning environments. Thomas also supervises undergraduate honours and postgraduate projects.
