Academic Skills Course
The Effective Learning Service will be offering an optional academic skills course online during semester 1. This course is aimed at new international students who are joining ¹ú²úÂÒÂ× in 2024, and for whom English is an additional language. Classes for Undergraduate students will be on Wednesdays 2-3pm (first session 25th September), while Postgraduate students can attend on Fridays 11am-12pm (first session 27th September).
The course will explore topics including:
- How to read academic sources effectively
- How to develop your academic writing style
- How to structure your writing and make it flow
- How to support your ideas with sources and develop critical writing
